Ed Anderson
Chief Strategy Officer


As Chief Strategy Officer, Ed Anderson is responsible for developing CompuCom’s strategic direction, cultivating new IT Outsourcing opportunities, evolving strategic messaging and market positioning as well as directing the company’s Marketing function. Returning to CompuCom in early 2009, Ed previously served as CompuCom’s CEO from 1993 to 1999 where he and Jim Dixon, CompuCom’s current CEO, successfully led the company during a critical growth period.

Since leaving CompuCom in 1999, Ed has worked with a variety of technology startup companies, such as TorchQuest and iPoint Systems, where he contributed his aptitude for identifying unfulfilled market needs and developing innovative solutions. A native of Michigan, Ed had strategic planning and business development roles with WR Grace and American Express before working at The Computer Factory in New York as Vice President of Marketing. He then moved to California and spent the next five years with ComputerLand (later renamed Vanstar) where he was Chief Operating Officer in the early nineties.

He is an active board member of Chicago-based Diamond Management & Technology Consultants, and is recognized as a thought leader in the IT industry. With an MBA from Harvard University, Ed also has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Michigan, where he spent two years in the honors engineering program.
